fatality. The government advises face mask wearing in places with
crowds. This lady (R) wears a scarf which is ineffective to prevent

Environmental impact
assessment (EIA) study clears way for third Changi Newater
factory.
Construction of facility will begin in 2024 and expected
completion in 2026.
Will produce up to 50 million gallons of
Newater per day, said PUB.
This factory will join two existing
ones at the Changi Water Reclamation Plant (WRP).
Currently, five
Newater factories - two in Changi (started op in 2008) and one each
in Bedok, Ulu Pandan and Kranji.
Bedok factory 18 million gallons. Two Changi WRP - 50 million
gallons.
EIA focus on the impact of emerging contaminants of
marine life. These include compounds in pharmaceuticals, pesticides,
personal products and various industrial chemicals. Example is
dipropylene-glycol used in fragrances or 6PPD, an industrial chemical
used in the manufacture of rubber tyres.
Excess treatment effluent from the WRP discharged into the sea.
Excess nitrogen and phosphate level would cause algae bloom which
would starve the seawater of oxygen and kill marine species such as
fish - risks were not significant. Water quality monitoring points
showed no adverse impact of the WRP on water quality.
The
report noted there is uncertainty over the specific compounds found
in the discarded water from the reverse osmosis
process.

The
cutlery and plate placement are in proper order, presenting a
pleasing image, unlike the common breakfast table for the mass in
which this type of setting will not be appreciated. The servers have had been trained as elite room guests enjoy such settings. For the masses, the cutlery is placed in any order if the server is left to his or her own!
I worked in a Scottish Dunoon hotel serving food to packaged tourists during my undergraduate vacation, hence I had to set the table for meals and appreciate this table setting for the elite room guest.

The Asians and most heartlander Western people will not appreciate such a proper breakfast table setting of cutlery and napkins. The servers are well trained to position the fork and spoon (right side of plate) in order. There is no knife, otherwise, the spoon should be placed above the plate. I worked as a waiter in my undergrad vacation in a hotel for packaged tourists and had to set up the table. In those days, some packaged tourists do give tips to the waiter who served the table. Nowadays, Singapore's packaged tour company factored the tips in the sales price!

sense of scale - how big the plane is compared to a person.
