Anthropomorphism is the attribution of human traits, emotions, or intentions to non-human entities. It is considered to be an innate tendency of human psychology. This butterfly is an example of anthropomorphism.

BEHAVING OUT OF CHARACTER, like some people.This butterfly, in Lentor Place, in Mar 2023, perches within 6 feet of my camera for over 60 seconds to pose for photos and videos. He appears to be praying. All butterflies do not pose so close for people.

MAINTENANCE OF SCULPTURES AT GARDENS BY THE BAY

I visited Gardens by the Bay in the morning. No doubt, the plants and flowers are very well maintained and kept free from diseases. However, the management (if it is responsible) has not maintained the MOTHER AND CHILD sculpture by Dr Ng Eng Teng for a very long time. It is stained and has large patches of mould on the body. For this instance, I have to give a one-star rating.

This situation reminds me of The Merlion which, at one time, had rusty stains on its mouth, but today, it is very clean and white. I hope the authorities will look into cleaning up this statue which is seen by overseas tourists.

I must say, the stains add "character" to the statue for the purpose of my photography. I had photographed the Mother and Child sculpture at the National Gallery Singapore, but it does not look "scary" as it is better maintained.

PART 1/2. Oxytocin injections do NOT guarantee egg laying in every red-eared slider.

VIDEO OF DIFFICULTY IN LAYING EGGS.
30-year-old female red-eared slider had hind leg paddling in March 2023 and was treated by Vet 1. She had no history of egg laying in the past 30 years.

She had been confined to the bathroom in a tub and left there for over 20 years. The young lady who grew up with this slider took over and gave her much freedom to roam and eat good variety of food in her new home.

Part 1/2 shows the history, X-rays showing 3 retained eggs and oxytocin treatment at Toa Payoh Vets.

Oxytocin injection was given by Vet 1 about one month ago in Mar 2023. But no eggs were laid. The owner consulted Dr Sing Kong Yuen of Toa Payoh Vets when her slider started hind leg paddling in Apr 2023. Will she lay the 3 eggs when given oxytocin injection? Video shows the slider becomes quiet within 5 minutes of the oxytocin (0.5 IU IM AND 1.0 IU SC) and calcium injection by Dr Sing Kong Yuen. She would be going home to be observed as to whether she would lay eggs.

4638. TRAVELS MALAYSIA. A beautiful modern airbnb semi-detached house rented in Bentong

3 Mar 2023: Sometimes, we can get an excellent accommodation from airbnb as in this example and video. A beautifully renovated modern semi-detached house in Bentong, Jalan Harmony was rented by my group of 7 people on 3 Mar 2023. The area is rural in Jalan Harmoni. The house is well renovated, with big bedrooms. It has a karaoke area on the 2nd of 3 levels. The rental was SGD $734.45 for 2 nights. We didn't do any cooking as we were mostly seniors and on vacation in a MPV rented by us. The driver opted not to stay with us.
