PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS: A leg wart in a
dwarf hamster. Vet case study in 2018 using Canon 40D.
In 1
Jul 2018, my photography skills were poor as I did not take time out
to research and practise more. I just used the "P" Mode as
advised by a friend and shot photos as in this image.
I used
Photoshop DODGE AND BURN to highlight the wart and the eye.
Wart has bite wounds. Right Hind Leg. Pet hamster tries to remove
the wart by biting it.

A 1-year-old male pet hamster tries to bite the leg wart away, but it grows bigger instead. The owner was worried. What to do? The solution is to excise or cut off the tumour in the veterinary surgery. I used electro-surgery which removed the wart with no bleeding. However, there was slight bleeding later. I used potassium permanganate to stop the bleeding.
The hamster lived to an old age without recurrence of the leg wart.
Electrosurgery is a
term used to describe multiple modalities that use electricity to
cause thermal destruction of tissue through dehydration, coagulation,
or vaporization. The two types of electrosurgery most commonly used
are high-frequency electrosurgery and electrocautery.
High-frequency
electrosurgery refers to four different methods: electrocoagulation,
electrodesiccation, electrofulguration, and electrosection. These
methods involve high-frequency alternating current, which is
converted to heat by resistance as it passes through the tissue
What is electrosurgery
used for?
Electrosurgery is a
technique often used in dermatologic surgery to provide
superficial or deep coagulation or cutting of the skin. The skin has
poor conducting properties for the electrical flow of energy.
Therefore, this energy builds up and is converted into heat.
Does electrosurgery
hurt?
Electrosurgery cuts
extremely rapidly when compared to a diode laser. When on the
proper setting, hemostasis is almost immediate. Assuming the
electrode is cleaned frequently while operating, the cutting
consistency, speed, and depth of cuts are very good. After cutting,
the wound is nearly painless.
How does electrosurgery
induce tissue effect in surgery?
During electrosurgery,
the back and forth movements of the high-frequency alternating
current make the cellular ions oscillate to create frictional heat.
Thus, electrical energy is converted to mechanical then to thermal
energy intracellularly. Such generated heat produces the thermal
tissue effects.
Surprisingly, the Papakeh restaurant signs came out sharp. It is a
Taiwan Chinese restaurant at 18 Ann Siang Road. Many tourists
and youngsters are found in this location.

I used TV Mode as there is a gentle breeze swaying the leaves. I
focus on the shaded flowers in the centre of the tree shape, hence
the AUTO ISO changes to ISO 8000. The high ISO usually causes a
grainy image, but this image looks ok. Best is to get low ISO at
around ISO
500.

ADVICES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE. IS THE HUSBAND IS A MALE CHAUVINISTIC PIG?
The wife often offers her husband certain dishes during dining when she notices that he has ignored some dishes. Julie is a retiree Chinese lady in her early 70s. She has been doing this over her decades of marriage.
Catherina opened her eyes wide and said: "Why do you serve him (by placing the fish on his plate)? He can do it by himself!". Catherina is a single career lady in her 50s. She had lunch with an Indian friend and my wife including me
in NEX mall on 2 April 2024 at The Sushi Tei restaurant.
"I do not ask my wife to serve me food from the dining table," the husband had
explained to her many times. The Indian friend who is married with two adult kids, was surprised at her outburst.
The wife repeated this act "of love" automatically, despite the husband telling her not to do so
especially when we dine with Catherina. Her act is Catherina's hot button issue.
"All Chinese men are MCPs (male chauvinistic pigs)." the husband had joked with Catherina. "To you, wives should not serve food to husbands at any time. But my wife is not forced to do it! She does it if I don't eat certain dishes."
Chauvinism is "an attitude of superiority toward members of the opposite sex." Catherina just could not help herself. Nor could she change my wife's behaviour or not invite the husband for dining. She just alienate her friend's husband by repeating her
behaviour when she sees this "chauvinistic act".
Why not just count her blessings? The wife cares very much for her to have lunch together, sometimes with her retiree husband who drives her to the dining place.
Why repeat her objection to this act when she can't change her friend's act of love for her husband? Just overlook this act and not comment on it. Enjoy the company. Life is short. Create pleasant dining friendship memories.

Conversation with a diabetic elder on 2 Apr 2024. He is feeling better and more positive now that all his toes had been amputated and the wound is healing very well.

4 GENERAL ANAESTHETICS STENTING. 4 procedures under General Anaesthesia as various toes become gangrenous. A metallic tube with stent inside was inserted in his thigh vein and passed to the toe to open up its blood vessels.

Ineffective as the gangrene spread.

CONCLUSION: Insulin injections must be given daily as directed by the doctor. Peter did not do that. He forgot to bring insulin on his travels to Malaysia and also forgot to jab insulin in Singapore daily.
