Take multiple shots. Only 1/8 shots was sharp. Take wider view so that you can crop away the unwanted  dishes and crockery inside the restaurant. There was no space and time to arrange for instagram shots.

3-spotted shell crab in season. Large weekend crowds will arrive to eat this particular species of crab.

The salesgirl had no stock of white ones. They were in their 40s. Wore face masks.
I asked for permission to take their photos and they were most delighted to.

Make a wish, write it on the lantern and let it fly. The sky lantern festival has long been used for people to pray for their wishes. During the Lantern Festival, around February and March each year, lanterns cover the entire sky of Pingxi.

TAIWAN - 15 NOV 2023: 11.52am. The exasperated lady pulled the leash hard as her OLD dog had stopped walking on the crowded sidewalks of Taipei city around lunch-time. No more dog walking for him. Most dog walkers in Taipei are ladies and most dogs are small breeds such as poodles. Walking a larger cross-breed dog is uncommon. 

 

15 Nov 2023, 11.52am. EXASPERATION. The exasperated lady pulled the leash hard as her OLD dog stopped walking on the busy sidewalk of Taipei City. Note similar striped skirts of two ladies.

4953. TRAVEL SINGAPORE. The MRT train station for achieving 5000 steps of walking daily.

 Two short videos of Singapore's latest MRT Train - the TEL line going to Thomson Plaza. Walking 5000 steps per day includes continuing to walk inside the air-conditioned MRT Station, rather than sitting down waiting for the train.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The daily target should be 5000 steps and MVPA of 30 minutes by midnight.

9 Nov 2023: I was surprised to see 2 dragonflies perched on the leaves of a lime plant and another plant in the evening in Lentor Plain. They are rare owing to anti-mosquito thermal fogging and habitat loss from regular grass cutting and tree trimming. Four days of thermal fogging near the Countryside Park had just been completed.

The surprising thing was that this dragonfly permitted my camera lens to as close as 2 feet away.

Canon R5, AV, 105mm, ISO 200, f/5.6, 1/160. Using f/5.6 will give you a good bokeh background.
No more evening sunlight in this location.

A better camera which focuses on the eye of the dragonfly. Canon R5, Handheld, ISO 640, 81MM, F/4.0, 1/2000 sec.  I used TV because some dragonflies don't stay perched for long. Take multiple shots as not all will be sharp.

 CHINA - 4 NOV 2023: 9.13am. Hainan. Public garden of Hampton by Hilton Hotel. The male and female Variegated Green Skimmer (Orthetrum sabina) has the same appearance - pale greenish with white markings on its abdomen. It preys on other dragonflies. A strong and fast flyer. 

The Variegated Green Skimmer is a strong and fast flyer. It preys on other dragonflies. One of more ferocious dragonflies. Seen in Hainan's Hampton by Hilton Hotel public garden after breakfast. Many of my fellow travellers probably rest in the lounge area after breakfast.
