PHOTOGRAPHY TIP.
PHOTO 1. P Mode. 14 Aug 2022.
A male Common
Parasol (Neurothemis fluctuans) dragonfly posed for me on the ground ,Sun 14, 2022, 10 AM
Canon R5 and tripod, P Mode. No breeze. Indirect sunlight, YCK
Crescent forest, Singapore.
Very difficult to get such a sharp image
as many do not stay for photography.
When I tried to place the tripod
from 8 to 4 feet away from him, he flew away.

Road, near Casuarina Drive, Singapore
27 Aug 2023, 9 am
Canon R5, ISO 320, f/4.5, 1/500 sec, 105mm, TV
Bright
morning sunlight, little breeze, dragonfly posed for several seconds
basking.
I was able to position tripod about 6 feet away without
frightening the dragonfly away.
As the colour of the adult male is
bright maroon red, this appears to be a female as her colours are
dull.
