In 2014, the 74-year-old man showed me a video of a limping stray cat he felt sorry for. He could not bring it for diagnosis and treatment as this male cat would scratch him.

The retiree used to come for anti)iotics whenever his stray cat suffered from Urinary Tract Infection (UTI0. The cat would recover, but the problem of painful urination and straining to pass urine recurred.

One day in 2013, I advised him to feed the cat the Hill's Prescription Diet C/D, canned and dry to acidify the cat's urine to prevent bacterial infection.He tried this method and the outcome was excellent as his home cat no longer suffered from painful urination and has not come for antibiotics.

I prescribed painkiller tolfedine for this cat. He would let me know the outcome. Later, he confirmed that the stray cat did not have any more painful urination when fed solely on this Prescription Diet.

When he moved out from Toa Payoh to Ang Mo Kio, I delivered the Prescription Diet to him whenever he has no more stock. Image shows the retiree taking the bag home in 2018.

 

Many UTI cat owners in Singapore have difficulty in switching the male cat to a new diet or do not feed the diet exclusively. They will add less expensive cat food or give treats. 1. Strong broad chested, silver hairs, dry eyes (eye drops every now and then as we spoke). Only one upper front tooth left. Wife slim, still working in NEA.

Very difficult to get such a sharp image as many do not stay for photography. 

When I tried to place the tripod from 8 to 4 feet away from him, he flew away.

Bright morning sunlight, little breeze, dragonfly posed for several seconds basking.
I was able to position tripod about 6 feet away without frightening the dragonfly away.
As the colour of the adult male is bright maroon red, this appears to be a female as her colours are dull.

Chickens were created when red junglefowl were domesticated for human use around 8,000 years ago. 

The red junglefowl (Gallus gallus) is a tropical bird. Undomesticated junglefowl is a source of meat and eggs in some countries.  Distinguished by the white patch at its rump and white ear wattles.

 Good morning. A photo for you today. On 11 Aug 2022, I went to the SGH and NHC (National Heart Centre). Around 6 pm, this junglefowl was 10 feet from me. He saw my camera and did not run away, unlike the others I met outdoors. I focused on his eyes and took 19 photos of this angle. He posed for over a minute. Incredible as the others in Bishan Park and elsewhere wasted no time running off. Upright and alert. His dull-coloured hen was busy eating grass.

8 Nov 2022 sighting of the red junglefowl in Singapore General Hospital at 8.30 am. He was calling loudly for several occasions as he walked around the grounds opposite Block 4.

The red junglefowl in Singapore General Hospital on 7 Nov 2022 is seen calling several times at 8.30am. His call is strangled at the end, whereas a rooster's is longer and trails off. The junglefowl can fly unlike the chicken.

PHOTOGRAPHY. He did not bother to move away when I photographed him some 10 feet away. But out of over 10 shots, I got only one sharp one, which is accepted by shutterstock.com/g/toapayohvets
