Common Parasol, Pierce Reservoir forest fringe, Old Upper Thomson Road, near Casuarina Drive, Singapore

Canon R5, ISO 320, f/4.5, 1/500 sec, 105mm, TV

Bright morning sunlight, little breeze, dragonfly posed for several seconds basking.
I was able to position tripod about 6 feet away without frightening the dragonfly away.
As the colour of the adult male is bright maroon red, this appears to be a female as her colours are dull.

Bright morning sunlight, little breeze, dragonfly posed for several seconds but shift up or down the branch.
I was able to position tripod about 6 feet away without frightening the dragonfly away.
As the colour of the adult male is bright maroon red, this appears to be a Male as his colours are bright.
