Scene 4 — The Search

David and Brian walk slowly along the paths, constantly scanning the trees.

Use alternating shots:

• David looking upward.
• Brian checking his camera.
• Telephoto lens pointed toward the trees.
• Scarlet Macaws calling in the distance.
• Flamingos becoming increasingly active.
• Bright sunlight becoming harsher.

Brian suddenly points toward a tree.

Brian:
"There they are."

Scene 5 — Two Macaws

50–65 sec

Telephoto wildlife shot of two adult Scarlet Macaws perched on branches.

They eat fruit and food from a stainless-steel bowl.

David photographs them repeatedly. 

Close-up of camera shutter firing.

Brian photographs the birds with his white Canon zoom lens.

David looks around.

David:
"Where's the third Scarlet Macaw?"

They wait.

The camera alternates between the two birds eating from a bowl perched on the tree branch and the empty sky. No third Macaw was present.
