A 72-year-old retiree had a free eye check up at his church by Eagle Eye's Dr Wesley Chong.
He said now that his right eye is very good as he can see clearly.
No pain during cataract surgery but medication in the eye took over 2 hours to go away.
He can see far and will need reading glasses.
He didn't want the bifocal lens as it will cost more and has some complications.
Total costs around S$7,500
Less doctor's discount $1,000
Less Medisave deduction $2,500
He paid around $4,000.
Outcome: Excellent. He is very pleased with the outcome.
In 2024, he will get the cataract done by the government hospital.
