6936. Photographing the moving plantain squirrel with Yaya. Settings video.

Create a video. Vertical aspect ratio 9:16.  A more natural line would sound like Grandpa is teaching Ya Ya in the moment, rather than reciting camera-menu terminology.

Replace the dialogue section with:

NATURAL GRANDPA–YA YA DIALOGUE

Ya Ya looks up at the squirrel and asks:

Ya Ya: “Grandpa, it’s moving so fast. How do I photograph it?”

Grandpa watches the squirrel through his Canon R5 and replies naturally:

Grandpa: “Use the zoom lens and set the camera to Shutter Priority. Keep the shutter at 1/250 second, and let Auto ISO take care of the light. Zoom in to 300 millimeters and follow the squirrel as it moves.”

Ya Ya watches the squirrel dart along the branch.

Grandpa: “There—keep it in the frame. Wait for it to pause… now, take the shot.”

Then show the camera-settings overlay:

Canon R5 + RF 75–300mm F4–5.6

Shutter Priority (Tv)

300mm | 1/250 sec | f/5.6

ISO AUTO — Example: ISO 1000

This gives the dialogue a more natural grandfather teaching his granddaughter feel while still communicating all the photography settings clearly.
