Bilingual Voiceover Script: Flora Singapore, The Mexican Creeper
English + Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) | Runtime: about 55-60 seconds per language track
Voices needed (per language): NARRATOR (warm, calm adult), YAYA (cheerful 7-year-old girl), GRANDPA WONG (warm, gentle older man)
Recommended use: Record the English and Mandarin as two separate audio tracks on the same video, because reading both back to back would run about 2 minutes. If you want one bilingual video, use the Mandarin voiceover with English on-screen captions (or the reverse).

Notes
- Terminology: 珊瑚藤 (shān hú téng) is the most common name for the Mexican creeper; 爱之藤 (ài zhī téng) is an alternative. 东方蜜蜂 (dōng fāng mì fēng) is the Asian honey bee.
- Singapore flavour: I used 阿公 (a gong) for Grandpa, a warm, familiar term for many Singapore Chinese families. Swap in 爷爷 or 公公 if that suits your family’s dialect background better.
- Yaya’s line: The Mandarin version adds "阿公" at the start, which sounds more natural when a child addresses a grandparent. The English keeps your original wording.
- Lip-sync: The Mandarin lines are slightly shorter than the English, so the pacing for Shots 2 and 4 should fit. If your video tool generates speech, re-check lip movement for each language.
- Signboard: I kept “Heng Jai Wong Clan Association” in English as written. If you want a Chinese signboard as well, tell me the Chinese name of the association.
- Accent: Request a Singapore-accented Mandarin voice for a local feel.
