6096. A dragonfly predator. A yellow butterfly, moths and dragonflies. No haze today.

 27 Oct 2026. Bright sunny morning. No haze. 

YCKC forest grass patch of over 2 feet tall. Nobody had mowed it down. 

Surprising, no haze. bright sunshine. I could hear birds chirping and mynas flying.
Saw an adult Malayan Water Monitor swimming from left to right, couldn't photograph as trees blocked my view.

Bright lemon yellow butterfly actually posed for me as it sipped nectar. 
Around 5 dragonflies, one being red.
Surprisingly, basking dragonfly predator perched with its prey on the grass blade for over 10 minutes. Took photo and video. Rare encounter.

Many small black mosquitos fly around my lower long pants and onto my hands. I slapped around 3 landed black mosquitos. Had blood. Quickly left the scene.
