A car transporter is a specialized truck or trailer designed to haul multiple vehicles. These haulers (often called "auto haulers" or "car haulers") are widely used by dealerships, auto manufacturers, and transport companies to move cars from manufacturing plants or ports to dealerships and consumers. Types of Car Transporters
- Open Car Transporters: The familiar multi-level, open-air rigs seen on highways. They are highly efficient but leave vehicles exposed to the elements.
- Enclosed Car Transporters: Fully enclosed trailers that protect luxury, exotic, or classic cars from weather and road debris.
- Flatbed / Single-Car Trailers: Often used for local towing, vehicle recovery, or by private individuals hauling single cars (like a track/race vehicle) behind a pickup truck.
