SINGAPORE - 10 May 2026: 11.36am. The Ring-tailed Lemur (Lemur catta) is a primate native to the island of Madagascar. It is endangered due to habitat loss from deforestation in Madagascar. Its tail has 13 alternate black and white bands which they use for communication and maintaining group cohesion.
