Native to Southeast Asia, including Singapore, this species flashes while moving and, in some cases, feeding. Light is emitted from an organ in the head-foot region.
Quantula striata (Dyakia striata) is a terrestrial gastropod. Juveniles and adults are bioluminescent, giving off flashes of green light. Eggs glow in the dark.
