SINGAPORE - 25 APR 2026: 9.29am. The Giant Taro or Elephant Ear (Alocasia macrorrhizos) has large, upright heart-shaped leaves that can grow up to 1 m length. It is used as a landscape plant to create a lush tropical appearance. The plant contains an irritant sap and is toxic if ingested.
