SINGAPORE - 13 APR 2026: 9.12am. Yio Chu Kang Crescent Forest. The Burmese Bush Brown (Mycalesis perseoides) is a medium-sized brown butterfly with distinctive eye spots (ocelli) on its upper wings. Ocelli mimic larger eyes to deter predators. It prefers to feed overripe fruits or sap rather than nectar on flowers.
