SINGAPORE - 27 FEB 2026: 1.29pm. This Autumn Leaf Butterfly (Doleschallia bisaltide) is spotted in the fern dominated area near the bus stops of Orchard Boulevard. Its wing upperside is orange-brown with blackened wing tip. Its wing underside features cyptic patterns that mimic large veins and blemishes. It has evolved to resemble a dead withered leaf as camouflage to hide from predators.
