4960. Asian Koel female and male outside my house today 21 Feb 2026.

 

 

 

 

Saturday. 21 Feb 2026 morning. 

I heard the male Asian Koel calling loudly. Went out to see. The female Asian Koel with her patterned plumage was perched on the palm tree outside my house. I saw the black Asian Koel further out up the tree. He was calling loudly. I went inside my house to get my camera. When I was out, they were gone.

My grand daughter was making a great fuss wanting her Daddy to stay at home, after she asked me if I could drive her mummy to the studio instead. The Ah Ma had come for her to take her swimming but she was full of anger as she strongly objected to her mum being driven by her Dad. I had told the mum that the Dad had been waiting in his car for the last 10 minutes. So the mum went inside his car.

Later, I walked to Countryside Park Garden. A young man told me there was a blue kingfisher among the frangipani trees in a garden. I took several photos of the bird and also the frangipani flowers.

A bird perched on the curry leaf tree of my immediate neighbour.
It waited for me to take photos.
