GOOGLE REVIEW
On 26 December, I ate lunch at the hawker centre and borrowed books from the beautiful spacious Punggol Regional library housed in One Punggol.
One Punggol is an integrated community hub serving the northeast. It houses a CC, library, hawker centre, childcare, blood bank, dialysis centre, senior care centre, HDB office and lifestyle facilities.
1. PHOTOGRAPHY PERMISSION FROM THE PEOPLE'S ASSOCIATION NEEDED
“Do you have the permission of the People’s Association (PA) to take photographs of One Punggol?” the Security Guard (L) with the killer looks started brisk walking towards me to enforce the PA’s anti-photography rule on 26 Dec 2025 at 2.49 pm.
If photography requires the PA's permission, it should PUT UP NOTICES regarding its anti-photography rules and regulations in this modern age of the smart phone photography, internet and AI era.
If permission is required, all visitors with smartphones and any cameras should be warned with NOTICES that permission is needed!
I attach a photo of the Security Guard who started to walk towards me to ask whether I had PA's permission to take photos of the exteriors of One Punggol as evidence.
2. BEAUTIFUL ORNAMENTAL FLOWERS such as the Scaevola taccada (Sea lettuce, half-flower).
The public garden of One Punggol has some "rare flowers" planted by NParks. They are "rare" as they are not seen in other public gardens such as Banyan Villas Park.
I attach two examples
1. Scaevola taccada (half-flower, Sea lettuce) seen today.
2. Another example is the Crown flower which has had been removed from the garden now planted with the half-flower.
