Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is a minimally invasive diagnostic procedure used to collect cells or fluid from a lump or mass for microscopic examination. It helps doctors determine if a growth is benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous), and can also be used to assess treatment effectiveness.
