 Arthur's reputation will be more than enough to counteract the testimony of those two doctors. They discussed the legal details while I walked to the window and looked out at the woods.

Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground. When the wind blew, the patches of light shimmerred like ripples on water. Life is so fragile, just like those fleeting shadows. 

Ëleanor, Catherine called to me. "The hearing is next Monday. Can you be there?Yes, I said, turning around. I want to see just how far my son is willing to go. After Catherine left, Arthur stayed to help me prepare for the lawsuit. "We gathered all my medical records, financial documents and the notebook detailing Kevin's cruelties. Do we have to submit all of this to the court?"he asked hesitantly. 

Ëverything,"I said firmly. "Let everyone see how a mother was pushed to this point by her own son. "Oh, that evening, Arthur contacted the editor the publishing house. The editor was very interested after hearing about the manuscript and scheduled a meeting to sign the contract next week.

Son ignored her birthday, preferring to celebrate his FIL's birthday. DIL mocked her, saying she is not real family.
