Hello, I'm Balta!
I'm a Spanish travel blogger who has been on the move since October 2017. It was back then when I decided to quit my IT job, leave my life in Barcelona and head to Australia with a one way ticket and with the Working Holiday Visa in my passport.
Ever since I left Spain, I've been living abroad in Australia and Japan and travelling through Oceania and Asia. I've been diving in the Great Barrier Reef, in Komodo National Park and in Sipadan. I've climbed Mount Fuji, Mount Kinabalu and Everest Base Camp. I've been to the jungle of Sumatra, to the one of Borneo and to the one of Nepal to see orangutans, proboscis monkeys, rhinos, crocodiles and kingfishers. I've done a 200-hour Kundalini yoga course in Rishikesh and... I even found some time to write a novel summarizing what I've learned in the last 6 years 😉
Originally, I decided to create this blog to document my experience with the Working Holiday Visa in Australia and share some tips about it. Today, after more than 4 years living between Australia and Japan and after having visited 43 countries, the goal of the blog is to help those who venture to travel this beautiful planet with travel guides, tips and anecdotes as well as with some interesting and worthwhile life experiences.
Are you ready?
