TRAVELS SINGAPORE. Alkaff Lake fills up with rain water on 2025.

Bidadari Park and Alkaff Lake is a multi-agency collaboration involving the Housing & Development Board (HDB), the National Parks Board (NParks), national water agency PUB, and the National Heritage Board (NHB).

Alkaff Lake is a multi-functional drainage infrastructure that serves as a stormwater retention pond during heavy rainfall. In dry weather, it functions as a community and recreation zone.

Residents and the community enjoy a wide variety of recreational experiences in the park, such as immersing in greenery and nature, appreciating Bidadari's heritage, and engaging in exploration and play

Alkaff Lake is a stormwater retention pond.

Dry weather. Holds 10,000 cubic m of water. Height of water around 1.5m
Heavy rain.   Can hold 40,000 cubic m of water. Height of water over 4m. Flooded bank and tracks.
                      Drain to Marina Reservoir via MacPherson outlet drain.

                      At 2m, warning flashing beacon lights and loudspeakers.
                      At 4m, water is filtered drained via traps which stops litter and slit.
