4478. Ask and you shall be given

 On 5 March 2025, I had lunch with Abigail. She is in her early 50s and had been to Africa, Europe, the Americas and Asia to market her company’s products.

On 5 March 2025, Abigail who brought along her stunted and anorexic red-eared slider to consult me invited me for lunch. She was going to leave it in a park's pond with other sliders as she would be travelling again. 

 

She had been to Africa, Europe, the Americas and Asia to market her company’s products for over the past 20 years.

 

She is in her late 40s, medium built and 5 feet 5 inches tall. But she is full of beans.

"As a single lady frequent traveller, did you encounter dangerous situations?" I asked.

"One time in Greece, I had to catch the last train from the airport to my hostel," she said. "The airport information girl gave me a map and asked me to catch the last train to a station. There I had to catch another train to reach my hostel!"

"I dare not take a taxi as it is not safe for me" she said. "So I had to carry my heavy luggages and things myself." I went up the escalator. I asked God for help. (Ask, and you shall be given. Seek, and you shall find).  A man was present and I was directed to him. "I am taking the same train," he said. You don't need to take a second train to your destination!"

"How do I describe him? He was not the tall, dark and handsome - such types would make me worry about my safety. How do I describe him? It is hard."

"He is the a mousy man," I said. "Someone quiet and shy such that people do not notice him!"

He said he was working in this place and was going to the same train home. I asked him for help with my luggages. He picked them up and walked fast ahead."

The airport train station was packed with tourists. He put down my luggages and climbed up to his cabin. I thought he would carry them for me up to the train, but he didn't because I was too proud to ask for help. (ASK, and you will be given).

 

"My train arrived at the Station. This time, I asked him to help me with the luggages to my hostel. I don't stay in hotels as that would be more expensive.

"At the hostel, I asked him to exchange phone numbers, but he declined and left!
