The Oriental Garden Lizard
(Calotes versicolor) is the most common wildlife lizard seen in
public gardens as it is adaptable, replacing the local green lizard.
However, frequent trimming of public gardens such as those near the
Lentor MRT Station have had reduced their numbers - owing to habitat
loss and deprivation of insect food sources.
Nowadays in 2025, you will be fortunate to spot one basking on a tree trunk. Hence this video shares its presence for future generations.
