 PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS: THE GIG WORKER - local tour guide. Use AV Mode.

The 66-year-old local tour guide at Bird Paradise is a gig worker.He earns S$80 per tourist location with the foreign packaged tour group. He was a mechanical engineer and used to organise tours for his friends when he was gainfully employed.


Local tour guides are mandatory. Foreign tour groups who do not engage them will be blacklisted and barred from entering Singapore! Some European tour guides I met in my tours are elderly and will gather all to give detailed talks about the tourist attraction or church. But Singaporeans and myself needed the little time to take photos and can't spend time listening to them.
