5614. Vet Case Study: Egg binding case from internet searches

Findings

On whole body images, there are three oval, mineralized eggs visible in the coelom. One eggs is positioned within the pelvic canal, and the other two are in the left and right cranial portion of the coelom. The remainder of the coelom and skeletal structures appear normal. 

 

 

Diagnosis

  • Egg binding


Ovocentesis was performed with a needle and syringe transclocally, and the egg was removed. The second egg required the same procedure a week later.
