PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS: The National Mosque of Malaysia
5 Jun 2024.
The National Mosque of Malaysia (Malay: Masjid
Negara Malaysia), built in 1965, accommodates up to 15,000
worshippers. It has a 73-meter-high minaret and a 16-pointed star
dome representing 5 pillars of Islam and the 11 states of then
Malaya.
ITS UNIQUE DESIGN:
It is beautifully designed - in
particular, the "semi-folded" umbrella roof structure and
"folded umbrella" of the minaret.
I did not have
time to visit this mosque. I attach a photo for viewer's
appreciation. This photo was taken from the 15th floor of The
Majestic Hotel.
