Airbus A380s are double-deck planes.
Each A380 has a total of 471 seats. SIA is finally completing the retrofits on long-haul suites, business class, premium economy class and economy class cabins.
Superjumbos can operate only on high-capacity routes and airports must have wide runways and larger terminals to support these jumbo jets, e.g. Melbourne and Beijing
SIA A380 with registration 9V-SKP is the latest to resume flight operations on 7 Dec 2023.
Fleet management strategy is to deploy flights with maximum capacity to markets with high demand.
Airports with fewer landing slots will allow SIA to maximise its revenue.

Delays in delivery of the Boeing 787-10 and 777-9 aircraft scheduled to arrive from 2025.
keep these A380 aircraft for the medium term of 5 to 8 years, given the significant investment involved.
SIA operates its A380s to 7 destinations: Auckland, lHong Kong, London, Mumbai, New Delhi, Sydney and Tokyo's Narita airport. Will resume flight to Shanghai from Feb 2, 2024.

Singapore Airlines has 12 A380s, each with 471 seats. 6 fully enclosed suites with a double bed (1-1), Business (1-2-1) has 78 seats, Premium economy (2-4-2, 38" pitch) has 44 seats and 343 seats in economy (3-4-3: 32" pitch)
Much lower capacity 777-300 ER
