SINGAPORE - 10 JUL 2025: 6.49pm Visited SAFRA Punggol which is in the same building as Punggol Sport Centre. Finally, a proper name "Punggol Sport Centre" has been given to this facility. In past years, the Straits Times' article called it the "Punggol Regional Sports Centre" as there was no final name. Completion was supposed to be in 2023. But material and labour shortages due to the impact of Covid-19 on the construction industry starting from 2020 delayed its completion, now said to be in 2026. Its signage with logo of ActiveSG is a brilliant orange-red which is very attractive as compared to the other branches of ActiveSG. PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS I post a photograph of the orange-red signage. PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS: Sports Centre under construction. Use AV and tripod.

SINGAPORE - 2 JAN 2024: 3pm. Visited One Punggol Regional Library and saw a good angle to take a photo of the Punggol Regional Sports Centre, under construction. The pink Active SG banner was the focus.

This massive building will have a 5,000-seater football stadium, a swimming complex, an indoor sports hall and a team sports hall. Hence I give it 5 stars for being integrated with sports activities benefitting the people.

PHOTOGRAPHY TIP: Use tripod, AV. Canon R5, 26mm, 1/200sec, f/11,ISO 100.
