5055. PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS: Merchant ships being photographed from my moving ferry to Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal.

PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS: Merchant ships being photographed from my moving ferry from Tanah Merry  to Desaru Coast Ferry Terminal on 12 Jan 2024. Sky was cloudy or had some sunshine at various times. The images were taken during the 1.5-hour journey.

1. Use TV Mode and 1/1600 sec, as the ferry is moving and shaking. If you use 1/500, your image may not be sharp as it is too slow.
2. Canon R5, TV mode or shutter priority mode,
3. Moving and rolling ferry boat motions can blur the images
4. Take multiple photos.
5. Rest your camera on a support or railing of the ferry to stabilise your camera.
6. Face the camera to the back of the boat to prevent sea water splashes onto the lens if you point your camera forward to take image.

SINGAPORE- 12 JAN 2024: A merchant ship is a watercraft that transports cargo or people, e.g. container ships, oil or gas tankers, bulk carriers. Cargoes include raw materials and manufactured goods.
