 30 Dec 2023. This 2-year-old terrapin appeared to be looking up the window to "see" whether his master is flying home.

The terrapin vomited and had respiratory distress after he was brought to the mother-in-law's place for boarding while his owners go overseas on holiday.

The owner phoned me as the exotic vet at a big emergency practice was not available. He had been to Toa Payoh Vets before but it was closed.

It is a long tele-consultation story as we discussed his case.

Two days later, this photo from his mother-in-law and a video showed that the terrapin was back to normal.

The mother-in-law's photo showed that the terrapin appeared to be looking for his master's aircraft from overseas as he was much concerned about the terrapin.

"It is an award-winning photo," I texted the owner.
