Use tripod and TV (1/1000 sec, f/4.5 Auto ISO). Look under leaves.
Nisitrus malaya cricket hides under leaves, Yio Chu Kang Crescent forested area, Singapore.

I saw it earlier but it hopped off the leaves.
Later, I looked
under leaves. It looked at me. A tripod is needed to take sharp
photos. Hand-held photos were blurry.
The Nisitrus malaya is a true cricket. It is very careful about photographers/people. I happened to look under leaves and saw it watching me. Look at close up of photo. It has "eyebrows" in the cornea!

Nisitrus malaya cricket hopped onto and perched on a stalk of the Giant Taro in Yio Chu Kang Crescent forested area, Singapore while I was photographing the spadix and spathe of the Giant Taro.
