4627. Dental scaling of plaque prevents gum disease, bad breath and tooth aches.

"I hear that old dogs that go for dental scaling will die," the young lady tolerated the bad breath.
"It is not a true statement," I replied.

"Many old dogs with heart diseases do not die. Your dog has no heart disease. However, we will do a blood test to check the blood cells, the liver and kidneys."

Blood test showed normal readings except for low creatinine levels which are not serious as to cause death under anaesthesia.

The owner will wait for another month to take a second blood test to see if the creatinine levels will be normal.
