VET CASE STUDY: TREATMENT OF JAW ABSCESS IN A RABBIT.


Incision and Drainage is the standard treatment for abscesses in animals. However, in the jaw abscess of rabbits, this method may not work if the teeth are badly infected and deviated. In this case, tooth extraction and X-rays are needed and this can be expensive.

[5:07 pm, 01/04/2023] David Sing: This means that more bad teeth need to be extracted at another date. Is the rabbit putting on weight? Did the vet ask you to come for another operation? Are the front teeth still black at the tips? Please send images of front teeth, left and right face and a video of rabbit eating.
