4507. How to succeed in the food stall business? Script for auto-narration video

    VIDEO SCRIPT

HOOK - A photo of laksa noodles I ate in 2017.

STORY - I love good laksa noodles. Do you?
Very few food stalls sell good laksa nowadays
                The operators are elderly.
Many earn and save to pay for their children's tertiary education.
Their children know food preparation starts at 4 AM
Why sacrifice their sleep and work-life balance to work so hard?

             - The photos (narrate the text) encapsulates the success of the Jia Jia
Food Stall couple who were Chinese Nationals migrated to Singapore.

            -  Their laksa was as good as 5 years ago.
                They open 24 hours
They have upgraded their signboard (see photos)
They wear their corporate uniforms now.

They are successful, without a doubt.
Good food is the most important factor
Diners, like me return for the good food.
                I wish them good luck.

WRITTEN ESSAY

How to succeed in the food stall business?
Dr Sing Kong Yuen, 22 December 2022.

There are many factors making a food stall business successful.

Good food is the most important factor in being a successful food stall holder.

Good food gets referrals from word of mouth.

Social media bring in the diners.

With more money, the food operator gains experience of what sells and upgrades.

This food video of Jia Jia food stall in Potong Pasir, Singapore is my illustration

of how a China National who migrated to Singapore is successful.

Photos tell the story.

1. 2017 food stall signboard.

2022 illuminated food stall signboard which is costly to make.

2. The husband and wife work as a team.

3. 24-hour operating hours indicate there is a demand for the food.

4. A photo of the bowl of laksa noodles I ate in 2017.

5. The laksa was served with cockles in 2017.

6. I had laksa there in December 2022. No more cockles now, but still taste as good.

7. The couple and helper wore KN 95 face masks to give confidence to diners that they

will not transmit any Covid-19 virus.

8. They do not wear the common face masks.

They wear their masks properly, fitting their nose and mouth.

9. In summary, the viewer can see the vast difference in the stall set up to assume that

this food stall business has been built up successfully since 2017 when I was there.

10. I wish the couple good luck.
