Video-tele consultation with
Dr Sing Kong Yuen, BVMS (Glasgow) from Toa Payoh Vets
1. It is very IMPORTANT to complying with Dr Sing's instructions on sending USEFUL video and images.
2. A case of 2nd opinion is shown in the following 2 videos. On 27 November, 2022, at 10 PM, the red-eared slider was gasping. The owner's vet advised immediate hospitalisation for oxygen therapy and other treatment.
3. Dr Sing asked for a video of the red-eared slider lying on a flat surface on the table.
4. VIDEO 1. The slider was on top of a towel inside a tank. "You can see him gasping", the owner said.
5. VIDEO 2. The slider was on a flat surface of a table. He had a few soft gasps over 1 minute of the video. Dr Sing advised that there was no need to rush to the emergency vet.
6. CONCLUSION. Today is 29 November. The slider is normal and eating. He continues taking medication prescribed earlier by Dr Daniel of Toa Payoh Vets.
