SINGAPORE - 29 OCT 2022: 10am, Saturday. I took photos at Lentor MRT station vacant grass land. It now has wild flowers, weeds, grass, small purple butterflies, moths. A young Oriental lizard scooted off on seeing me. A yellow butterfly. Two orange butterflies. Opened in Oct 2020, the vacant land besides the station is turfed and now has many wildflowers, moths and butterflies.
However, this red-leafed plant with pretty miniature flowers was
planted by a house owner on public land outside his back gate near
the Lentor Loop condo construction site. How does this plant survive
when it has no green leaves like the ordinary
plants?
