4086. Photography tips: Landscape photography. AV Mode, F16, hyperfocal distance

PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS.  How to get faces of all people visible?
I used techniques from landscape photography to get sharper images.
"Hyperfocal distance" is to focus roughly on the first 1/3 of the scene

Important tip is to use F16 - 18.

I share the settings:
AV Mode, F16, Focus on the boy nearest to me (about 20 feet away).
You can see the faces of people in the group are almost all sharp.

Good morning. A photo of family bonding over parrots in Lentor Gardens near my house. I practise on how to get all faces in the group sharp. If you have your handphone, you have the "circle" or face recognition software to do it for you. But in this scene, your handphone may not be able to capture well. I use Canon R5, AV Mode and most important F16. I took 4 photos rapidly to show family and parental bonding which builds great relationships.

25 Sep 2022  6.30 PM  Lentor Gardens. 4 shots taken.

Parrots, Parents and children look relatively sharp. A father and son walk together. All you need is to remember:
Use AV Mode, F16 setting and focus on the boy with T-shirt No. 2 on your digital camera.
