GOLF CLUB HOUSES IN
AUSTRALIA
In Singapore, houses near the golf clubs are privately
owned by individuals. However, in the decade before 2022, in some
Australian states, the golf club developer builds houses for sale. In
the past decades, new houses could be bought by foreigners but they
must sell back only to Australians. I am not sure whether there are
such developments in 2022.
Foreigners rent the houses
for income, but it may be difficult to find good tenants. Realtors
are needed to find tenants and manage them. The realtors could charge
as much as 6% of the rent as management fee. Every time there is a
change of a light bulb, the fee could be S$50.

in a golf club? In Singapore, such houses will cost millions of
dollars. In Australia, you could buy a NEW house from the golf club
developer as a foreigner in the past decade. They cost around
A$200,000 in the 1980s. If you had bought one, you would not be
allowed to sell to another foreigner. You could only sell to
Australians.
