Dental treatment by dedicated experienced specialists at National Dental Centre. They took the time to explain and educate the patient.
23 October 2020. Gum specialist saw me as I complained of a gum abscess on my right upper jaw (lateral side). "No gum disease," he told me.
X-rays show cavity. Referred to root canal specialist.
17 November 2020. Root canal specialist. Gum abscess was due to vertical and multiple tooth fractures. No more eating nuts. Prognosis is poor. Will discuss options at next appointment.
Depth of gum opening is 6 mm on affected tooth.
Gum abscess some 2 months ago, now absent.
Cause was due to multiple fractures, with one vertical one being hard to crown.
All pulp get infected if one of the 3 roots of a molar is infected. .
Slight toothache on eating hard nuts some 6 to 12 months ago. Recovered when not chewing on right upper jaw.
Will discuss the treatment options at the next appointment.
TIPS AND ADVICES
1. Not to eat hard nuts at old age (70 years old now).
2. Need to use those small dental brushes to clear food remnants lodged between the teeth.
