3393. Spaying a caterwauling cat

When the cat starts meowing loudly as if she wants to go out, the vocals can be disturbing to the owner and the neighbours. In this case, the owner wants the cat to be spayed. However, its uterine horns, ovaries and blood vessels are very enlarged and spaying can be quite bloody. Hence, I advise to wait at least 4 days before spaying the cat, as in this case. 

This video shows that the cat recovers very well after spaying, as in all healthy cats.

SPAYING A CAT IN TOA PAYOH VETS - POST OPERATION PROCEDURES.

1. Adhesive plaster to be removed by Day 4 after surgery. 

2. Clean wound.

3. Give medication.
