3442. Red eared slider, F, 19 yrs. No appetite for over 1 month, painful left hind flank

Bites when left hind flank is digitally pressed
Lethargy over 1 month
Egg laid 2 x per year
Last batch of 8 eggs laid in Nov 2018.

X rays - no eggs but radiodense matter in abdomen.  Suspected impacted intestines leading to constipation and infection.


MAR 4, 2019  (Day 8 of in-patient treatment)
Syringe feeding pellets and critical care and multivit.daily for 8 days
Oil laxative 2 ml given yesterday
Today, passed out a hard faecal lump around 3 cm long (see pic)/
