VET CASE STUDY:
A 5-year-old female red-eared slider has no appetite (anorexia) for over 2 weeks.
One cause could be egg impaction. An X-ray was taken.
The X-ray did not show any eggs present.
There are many causes of anorexia. One of them is bacterial infections.
Antibiotics were given.
Syringe feeding of Critical Care and pellets 3x/day is important for the in-patient to preventmalnutrition and dehydration.
