3177. A green pigeon, orange bird, mushrooms on Jun 22, 2018

Jun 22, 2018

Since Jun 2, 2018, I had not exercised in the fitness area. I was on a tour from Jun 2 to 12. Only on Jun 22, did I exercise a short while. I brought my zoom lens along. It was a bright sunny morning at 8.30 am.

Directly in front of my abdominal trainer, a green pigeon perched for more than 10 minutes on the tree facing me, up on the tree of around 3-storeys high. I got time to take photos.

Then a yellow bird appeared perched for a few seconds. Another black pigeon with white underside did not stay perched for a second and flew off, frustrating my photography.  This exercise machine is in a public area. I pulled the bars up and down. It faces a tree recently pruned.

A green pigeon perched for around 10 minutes high up on a tree branch. The height was around 3 storeys.

A yellow bird appeared for a few seconds

Sky is blue with white clouds at that time.

Small garden filled with numerous mushrooms (shaggy maned)

Outside in the children's playground fronting a road, wild mushrooms are seen

3176. The $380-dog

Jun 20, 2018

"She is known as the $380-dog", the retiree told me. "When I moved in to Toa Payoh, the veterinary bill from Lorong 1 was $380."

She could not find the transport man and searched the "yellow pages". It was google actually. So that was how she found Toa Payoh Vets.

She was not able to care for the old dog. An animal shelter came to inspect the dog and would take over if the dog was certified healthy in liver and kidneys and free from tick fever diseases and heartworm.  The fee would be $200 per month.
"What if my dog died and they keep billing me?" she said.
"The shelter would let you know," I guessed.
