Catchlight---How to make your wildlife photo sparkle?

Catchlights are the lights reflected in a subject’s eyes.

1. Use a TRIPOD
2. Early morning sun (e.g 9.45am) behind and high above the photographer.
3. Use SHUTTER PRIORITY mode as the lizard is moving.
4. Set shutter speed to 1/500 sec, focal length to f/5.
5. Set ISO to AUTO.
6. Catchlight on the lizard's eye is the reflection of the sun.

7. It is at 12 o’clock which is an ideal position for catchlight reflection. 10 and 2 o'clocks are also ideal.

This image was captured using Canon R5, tripod, 105mm, TV mode, 1/500 sec, f/5, ISO 100.Sunlight behind the photographer at 9.45am.

The camera sets the AUTO ISO to ISO 100.

Catchlights are the lights reflected in a subject’s eyes. Portraits are almost always better with catchlights.

Catchlights add life and sparkle, while their absence can result in dull, lifeless images.

10, 2 or 12 are the ideal positions for catchlight reflections in a subject’s eyes.

So 10, 2 or 12 are the ideal positions for catchlight reflections in a subject’s eyes. As long as you stick with those three positions, you’ll be on solid ground.

mental wellness in the elderly who live alone. This
video shows animal interactions in this Cafe.

Georgetown, Penang Hamcup Mini-Zoo and Cafe is a unique destination for tourists who love to interact with exotic animals in a cafe.

The animals will be taken out of the cages for visitors and the elderly to handle them.Pets promote mental wellness. Besides the rodents like hamster, chincillas, dogs, cats, and ducks, there are exotic animals like the leopard gecko (Eublepharis macularius), porcupine and sugar gliders.
