4411. PHOTOGRAPHY TIPS: Flowers in a backyard garden in Florrisa Park.

In May 2024, this particular property in Florissa Park, facing the Lentor Modern Condo construction, has a public space behind the backyard. This was used by residents to plant beautiful flowers such as the Dracena draco and Thunbergia erecta  as shown below. 

I took several photos and two plants as mentioned above are shown in this webpage.

As at 25 Dec 2024, the strip of public space had been concreted as a walkway, as Lentor Modern condos are being completed. So, there are no more flowers to bloom in this space. Fortunately, the "stump" of the Dracena draco is still present inside the backyard.

Good morning. According to the internet, this plant flowers once in a blue moon. I took the photo in July 2023 when it had so many golden yellow flowers. Today, it looks a "dead" stump!

SINGAPORE - 30 JUL 2023. Dracaena draco is an ornamental plant with sword-like leaves and clusters of yellow buds. It is spotted flowering in a back garden in Lentor Estate.

Wow, you are good to locate so many flowers 🌹 taken by me. I only located two of your golden yellow flowers but you find many !

Rare to see a couple of Thunbergia erecta of two separate colours next to each other. Reminds me of an affectionate couple.

 NParks person must have loved Starfruits to plant this rare tree in Singapore. Fruits are 2/3 or 1/2 the usual sizes sold in markets

 Pomegranates are believed by the Chinese to be auspicious plants. The plants are seen in some house gardens.
It seems “three” buds or things give balance to a photo as compared to one or two
May I ask whether you have good photos of pomegranate fruits?

Your mobile phone can take such a sharp photo as there will be not much space for my big camera
